About Canada Vistas Guide

Canada Vistas Guide publishes practical, independent guides to Canadian destinations, national parks, scenic road trips, city neighbourhoods and seasonal travel.

Our mission

We help travellers plan Canadian trips that are safe, realistic and respectful of the places they visit. Our guides focus on how to get there, when to go, what to check before you leave and how to behave responsibly on trails, roads and in communities.

Who writes the guides

Articles are written by a Canada-based editorial team of travel journalists and outdoor enthusiasts. Each article names the editorial team as author and describes its focus area. Team biographies, including relevant experience, are published on this page as they are confirmed.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage, rankings or favourable reviews. We are not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by Parks Canada, any provincial or territorial government, transit operator, tour company, hotel or restaurant. Where we name an organisation, it is for information only.

Fact-checking and updates

We check park rules, fees, distances, seasonal information and transport details against primary sources, including Parks Canada, provincial and territorial park agencies, transport operators and government websites. Each guide is dated, and we revise it when conditions change.
